VERTIGO STEPS Debut To Feature MISERY INC., GREEN CARNATION Members

Portuguese metal act VERTIGO STEPS, and brainchild of Bruno A. (ARCANE WISDOM, UNDERSTREAM, REDSTAINS),is in the final pre-production stage of its self-titled debut album, to be recorded at Ultra Sound Studios in March. The project's recording lineup will include Niko Mankinen (of Finnish melodic death group MISERY INC.) on lead vocals and contributions from Stein Roger Sordal (GREEN CARNATION). The rhythm section will comprise drummer/producer Daniel Cardoso (HEAD CONTROL SYSTEM; original ARCANE WISDOM skinsman) and Alex Ribeiro on fretless bass (BLEEDING DISPLAY, LAST EXIT, DESIRE). Other vocal participations will include the likes of Sophie (UNDERSTREAM),André L Vasconcelos and Rui Viegas (the two ARCANE WISDOM voices),among other guests. All guitars, programming, ambience, music and lyrics (except for "I of the Storm", whose lyric resulted form a joint venture between André L Vasconcelos and Bruno A.),will be handled by mainman Bruno A. The tracks will include "Vultures In My Dying Bed", "The Swarming Process" or "The Gruesome Smile" and shall, according to its author, "travel through a melancholic and cinematic metal, with moments of groovy dementia shifting with others of pure, almost post-rock introspection."
